Fighting Drug Based Births for The Wall Street Journal
The Maternal Addiction and Recovery Center at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, an area hit hard by prescription drug abuse, is making strides in treating pregnant mothers with addiction problems. In an effort to curb babies being born already dependent on pills, the program uses a drug called buprenorphine instead of the traditional methadone treatment.
