Off the Grid
Off the Grid is a look into a subculture woven in and out of many southeastern Ohio communities. Idealists, young and old, push themselves to be one with nature. It's a fantasy many dream of , but few are willing to push back against our ever-increasing reliance on technology. This body of work studies a small group of people who began their journey by squatting in an abandoned house in Meigs County, Ohio. The poor condition of the house forced them to build a yurt, a semi-permanent tent-like structure so they can begin saving money for their own land to pursue their dreams
